We’re in NYC where people are abundant, seasons change, and the “buzz word” is SUSTAINABILITY. Fashionable, responsible, eco-friendly, functional and breathable remain top priority fabric attributes of OSHeN’s. Our newest line of fabrics called our “Wool Series” features varying weights of merino wool/spandex sourced directly from one of our favorite breed of sheep the Merino. The Merino Sheep originated in Spain and found its happy existence in the rolling hills of Australia where the Woolmark label represents the highest standards in Merino Sheep farming and sourcing.
We’ve taken traditional merino wool and created new FUN fabrics by involving them with high compression technology. This offers designers a new form never deemed imaginable. OSHeN’s heart beats to the drum that all of its sustainable fabrics are eco-friendly and responsible sourced. This is what led us to the amazing WOOLMARK label and brand in Australia. All of the Woolmark merino wool sourcing is ethical and responsible to the sheep, employees and earth. There are no inhumane practices involving mulesing or cold-weather shearing.
Merino Wool is graded by the fineness of the strand called the TOP and OSHeN only uses the finest TOP Grades from 80 to 130 TOP. This ensures us that you will wearing a garment that is soft, flexible, and durable. This wool is extremely high quality and G.O.T. Certified. The Global Organic Textile Standard (G.O.T.) is recognized as the world’s leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.* Our wool spinner is Xinao with a reputation for quality and ingenuity. At times OSHeN tests the limits yet they remain with us every step of the way. And this is why we are able to bring you these GROUND-BREAKING fabrics!
